ADA Title II deadlines: April 2027 and April 2028
DOJ's interim final rule of April 20, 2026 extended the dates in 28 CFR 35.200(b).
Population of 50,000 or more

The technical standard did not change: WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA. Dates can change again; check the Federal Register and eCFR before relying on them.

- Inventory the Word and PowerPoint files you post, and note which are used to apply for or take part in services.
- Check each with an automated checker, fix what it finds, then review by hand.
- Export PDFs from the fixed source files and check them with a PDF/UA checker.
- Keep a record of what was checked and fixed.
